About the roleAs a Bakery Purchaser, you are responsible for managing and developing a strong supplier network for branded bakery products. You negotiate optimal terms and conditions, guarantee product quality and ensure reliable deliveries. You work closely with Category Management and Replenishment to implement an efficient and strategic purchasing policy.
What are you going to do?
Supplier management and purchasing strategy
Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
Negotiating price, quality and delivery terms to support business objectives.
Monitoring and evaluating supplier performance based on KPIs such as delivery reliability and cost efficiency.
Actively responding to market developments and risks within the supply chain.
Assortment and stock management
Collaborate with Category Management to align product ranges with market trends and customer needs.
Identify and onboard new suppliers and exclusive product opportunities.
Ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and service levels with suppliers.
Work with Replenishment to resolve escalations and delivery issues.
Cost efficiency and risk management
Negotiating cost-efficient purchasing terms and monitoring price developments.
Developing strategies to minimise cost fluctuations and delivery risks.
Aligning purchasing decisions with demand forecasts and inventory management.
Continuous improvement and cooperation
Optimising purchasing processes and implementing best practices.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage market changes and operational challenges.
Actively monitor trends and competition to keep the purchasing strategy innovative and up to date.
What can you offer?
A Master's degree in a relevant field (Supply Chain/Business Administration)
3-5 years of experience in purchasing and supplier management, preferably within the food or bakery industry.
Strong negotiation skills and analytical insight.
Proactive and results-oriented attitude.
Experience with S&OP processes is an advantage.
