On 7 May 2025, Ranson organised the London Trend Tour, an inspiring day full of culinary discoveries in one of the world's most dynamic gastronomic cities. With a group of enthusiastic bakers, pastry chefs and chocolatiers, we travelled to London to discover the latest trends in baking, pastry and chocolate.
London: from traditional to trendsetter
Waar de stad vroeger vooral bekend stond om fish and chips en eenvoudig brood, is Londen vandaag de dag uitgegroeid tot een mondiale culinaire hoofdstad. Tijdens onze Trendtour bezochten we iconische wijken als Soho, Marylebone, Chinatown en Borough Market. Hier zagen we hoe ambachtelijke bakkerijen, gespecialiseerde donut- en éclairwinkels en zelfs Japanse patisserie hun stempel drukken op de Londense foodscene.
Innovation and inspiration
We were amazed by the creativity of both traditional British bakers and international pastry chefs who have found their niche in London. The rise of fusion cuisine – a blend of Asian and French influences – makes the city a vibrant source of inspiration.
Our trend tour not only offered a glimpse into the latest trends, but also valuable networking and inspiration opportunities for participants.
