Investing in expertise, quality, growth and sustainability

At Ranson, we are making great strides in the United Kingdom. Our move to brand new premises at London Gateway Port marks a new milestone for Ranson. This transition not only doubles our capacity, but also marks our commitment to sustainable business practices and our ambition to become the leading partner for artisan and industrial food professionals in the UK.

Capacity double

Our current premises served us well for many years. However, in order to support our ambitious growth, we needed more space – a location that would enable us to realise the next phase of our development. That was precisely why we decided to move to the new buildings in London Gateway Port.

The new premises offer space for no fewer than 3,709 pallets for non-refrigerated storage, as well as 1,370 pallets for refrigerated and frozen products. This extra space allows us to work more flexibly and efficiently, and fits in perfectly with our forward-looking plans for the future.

The power of the Freeport zone for Ranson UK

Our decision to move to London Gateway Port is strategic: it gives us a place within a free port zone. A free port or free trade zone is a special economic area where goods can be stored, processed or repackaged without import duties, and where companies can enjoy simplified customs procedures. Following Brexit, London Gateway established such a zone to promote trade and increase economic benefits. As a result, Ranson UK is now in a highly efficient location for importing high-quality ingredients directly from the source.

This move is in line with our growing role as an important partner for industrial and artisanal food professionals in the UK. It will strengthen our network of long-term trade relationships and enable us to serve our customers even better and faster.

The power behind Ranson UK

Our dedicated team in the UK currently consists of 28 colleagues spread across various departments. With the expansion of our activities, we intend to grow this team further. In this way, we will add knowledge and experience to serve our customers even better.

The future of Ranson UK: sustainable, more spacious and ready for growth

In addition to the enormous increase in storage space and the strategic location, the new building has numerous sustainable features. For example, there are solar panels on the roof and rainwater is collected for internal use. There are also eight charging points for electric cars, which underlines our commitment to the environment and sustainability. In addition, we are moving from 10 parking spaces at our old location to 35 spaces at our new location – enough space for visitors and our growing team.

With this move, we are laying the foundations for a strong future and aiming to become the partner of choice for food professionals in the UK. We will achieve this by focusing on sustainable business practices. In addition, our wide range includes carefully selected ingredients sourced directly from the source, reliable partner brands and high-quality products that we develop and produce ourselves. It is this unique approach that really sets us apart and drives our success.

Here's to a bright future at London Gateway Port!
